Musician brief
The man who mistook his wife for a hat
We are telling the story of a man with mental illness who
cannot function or recognise items around him without the aid of music taking
inspiration from the book “The man who mistook his wife for a hat” Featuring an
everyday routine that many would take for granted and showing how he comes to
accept music as his way of life and copes in a fast paced, noisy world.
Your target audience will be both male and female working
adults with busy schedules. Aged 20-50. Who will be viewing the video during
lunch breaks/traveling to work by bus or train/afternoon.
We would like you to create a music track for a 1min
30sec animation. With a dramatic intro that captures the viewers’ attention in
the first 5 seconds. Then throughout replicates the man’s state of mind as he
goes through an emotional rollercoaster. Showing both chaos and stability. With
realistic sounds and effects for stable parts with an underlying instrumental
that takes over during the chaotic sections. With extremes in pitch.
This is our animatic that we would like you to work to,
when scenes are updated we will send you up to date versions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvfl_hCyUrk&feature=youtu.be
